Each Peruvian hand carved wooden piece is an heirloom to be treasured for years. Crafted from a single block of Amazonian hardwood, the colors and wood grains will vary. The wood should be oiled regularly to maintain the beauty of these works of art. In the heart of the Amazon in Peru, indigenous Yanesha artisans work withPaTS to sustainably harvest from forests that have long been their home. Theycarve each bowl by hand, digging out the hollow of the bowl and refining itscurves with hundreds of strokes. Utilizing managed forests, PaTS preserves theabundant biodiversity and natural beauty of Amazonian communities whilesupporting families with fair wages.
